Hahaha. Well put!

I prefer saddles from reputable saddle makers that are made with both horse and rider in mind.
If you want to spend 4k on a saddle go buy a Schleese, by far the best english saddle I have come across. My wave has been through 3 horses and still looks new when you oil it up.

Also, equitation was in fact invented for a reason. It makes you more balanced and effective on a horse. Yes you might be balanced enough in a chair seat to ride a buck but can you feel your horse, and be able to come with exact timing of the slightest aids? No.

Unless Parelli himself is inside the saddle...I wouldn't buy it. That price tag is just TOO high. You can get a custom western saddle for 1/2 that. Maybe I'm just cheap.

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

Not trying to attack anyone, but I honestly think Parelli is a true rip-off (well, as well as some other NH trainers). I'm not saying ALL, but some of the equipment can be found much cheaper or even done by yourself. I rather go to the good custom saddlery (preferable local) so they'd make a saddle for my horse specifically.

I just can't get over the pricing of their products. I feel like they are really taking advantage of the people that really believe in their methods and follow them. You would think that if they were truley out to help people to build better bonds and relationships with their horses, they would find a way to sell products that were fairly priced.

I know that was a rant and maybe even a little innapropriate but it's how I feel and I do apoligize to the people that purchase these products.

I too am not a basher of Parelli and I do like some of the techniques and some I think are just plain dumb, but with that being said I think that their saddle prices are just plain crazy! Alot of the equipment is high priced and I think that you are paying more for the name than anything. I am sure their are some knock off rope halters that work just as well! I did buy the first kit and was sucked in for a bit along time ago- again some stuff is great, but some just way over rated and I think the saddles are just that- over rated!
