so what about a soft thick ish piece of rope that is conected to a piece of elastic in a loop. the elastic part goes over the poll, while the rope goes from the elastic through the bit, down under the chest, comes up behind the leg, over the back just behind the wither. then goes behind the leg on the other side, back through the bit then ties to the elastic?? it is tied quite loose. (its home made)
is that sort of similar?
my instructor uses it. i think she got the idea from her trainer (Vince corvi, not sure if anyone has heard of him, might of though). i have one also, that i sometimes use for my horse and another one of ours that is 6yrs, but hasn't done alot of flatwork.
just wondering cause you said you wouldn't use it on a green and horse and i would class this horse as green
sorry to be off topic guys - yes mell that does sound VERY similiar only difference being id your device has give in it and the one i am talking about does not. Sounds to me like what you have would be safe for a green horse so i wouldn't worry too much but maybe see what your trainer thinks before making any decisions
