Saddle pad help

What is a good barrel racing saddle pad that won’t break my bank? One of my horses has a short back, so I’m buying a round skirt corriente saddle. I can only afford one saddle pad, so I would like something that’s shorter or rounded to fit both horses. I want something that’s gonna last and be good for my horse. While I can’t spend $300 on a best ever or something, I can spend around $100 - $150 on a used one. What do y’all recommend and what thickness?

I have found a diamond, a reinsman, and a circle y in my price range. Are those good brands? I know circle y, but don’t know the others

Diamond is often wool...
Good wool pads are fabulous for a horses back to breathe while saddled.

Reinsman is a reputable name and company.
I've seen several materials used so...
We each have our favorite material pads are made from...

Circle Y is again reputable name, company and owns Reinsman.
Quality pads...many styles.

Bottom line if used, handle the pad and see the wear pattern and if the pad will give the protection and support you need with your horse and saddle.
Till you actually have that saddle and know the fit to the animals back it would not be right to suggest this or that particular...
You need to fit your need to what is available and you can afford.
ClearDonkey likes this.

The worst day is instantly better when shared with my horse.....
