Ultra Light Trail Saddle

Has anyone here ever owned or know anybody that has owned an Ultra Light saddle?

Iím interested in them as they are so light (9 pounds) and seem to be well made.

Pretty spendy though!

Any help would be appreciated.

I have one that I bought used from a gal in the neighborhood. She used it on her Mustang and now I use it on my Morgan. It is a fairly comfortable saddle with a decent twist. The panels are made of some sort of hard rubber like material and you use shims to conform it to your horse's back.

I have one I bought used over the winter, it was pretty reasonable (for a Specialized) so if you keep an eye out you can occasionally find a good deal!

I like mine but it's a little big for me so I haven't ridden in it much because we're trying to figure out how to install bucking rolls on it. I was also hoping to get a friend familiar with them to look at my shims which I haven't had a chance to do with the COVID situation.

It's very comfortable and my horse seems to like it!
