Unknown pieces of tack

I have a set of each item pictured, came in a tack lot I bought off facebook. The person I bought the tack from said she has no idea what they are, and I can't figure it out either. I'm not even sure where to start looking
One is a square-ish flocked piece of faux leather, with the straps coming out each corner.
The other is just a loop of faux leather with a clip directly connected to the buckle. It looks like the strings were attached after so I'm not sure what was actually supposed to go there. My best guess on these would be hobbles, but they're definitely not ones I've seen before if that's what they are.
Any and all help appreciated!

The first piece appears to be a breast plate or part of one.

Do you know what kind it would be? I'm really interested in how it would hook and what discipline it would be used for!

I'm wondering if this is a piece of a driving harness...
The first picture, never used...not a mark on those straps.
The second is something that was repaired and by the looks of it not very well.
Knotted on swivel snap-clips attached to a knotted and frayed piece of round strapping...
The buckles just make me think "harness" not riding tack...

Will be watching this thread to see who deciphers the unknown "what is this x2"...

Well....with that bit of information added, then possibly something called a DeGogue or Chambon.
But there is parts missing.
First is the Chambon..
Second is a DeGogue...
Third is DeGogue on a horse...

These are similar but different pieces of training equipment...something you can do much good with proper use and something you can destroy a horse in un-knowledgeable hands...

Still not sure what that strap and square shaped fleecy thing is...

I was thinking the second could be something among the lines of champion/degouge/neck stretcher/Viennas. Potentially homemade, but they are usually made of rope or cord.

First doesnt look quite right to be a breastplate. The angle of the straps are off. Think something off a harness is a good guess.

Could the first item be for a dog, not a horse? That's my first thought tbh, it looks kind of like a pig-dog breastplate.

The second is certainly a chambon.
I agree with Blue eyed pony that the first doesn't look like horse tack but for a dog harness of sorts.

I was considering that, I have two of those pieces and thought they might hook together around the dog to make a harness
