Vetrapping Sport Boots

There is a race next weekend that's a benefit for police officers. I would like to have "thin blue line" themed sport boots on my horse. I only have solid turquoise and the Classic Equine grey chevron. I was thinking about putting the boots on her and then wrapping them with black vetrap (like a polo), then putting blue electrical tape around it. Do you all think that would work alright?

Keep going, keep moving forward. You'll get it together someday.

Well vetwrap (like the coban stuff) is sticky and would probably stay on, but a polo probably wouldn't stay on over a boot. Coban isn't too expensive and you could probably wrap the boots in that and maybe even spray paint over it if you wanted a shiny black or something cool. The wrap would keep paint off the boots. But polos would not work I'm willing to bet. Something like tape or the coban would work though.

No matter how much you think you know about horses, there will always be one that'll come along and teach you something new.

I would say as long as you secure it with the electrical tape, hypothetically, it should work.

I would test it at home first to make sure they stay on. You sure don't want to have them come undone during a race.
