Warwick Bridles

I just added another bridle to my collection that I presume to be older, though it came to me new with tags. It started out pretty stiff, but already softened up some with some Lederbalsam I had on hand. It seems to be well made and to have nice leather. The brand is Warwick, made in England. Anyone have any experience with this brand or recognize it?

A funny thing about this bridle is that it was sold to me with a Blue Ribbon tag for a Quarter Horse size bridle. This is labeled Warwick and extra-full size. The tag was taped to the browband, so I'm guessing maybe at some point the tag fell off of another bridle and was mistakenly taped to this one (especially since I wouldn't think of Quarter Horse size as extra-full/oversize), or were Blue Ribbon and Warwick somehow related? I know Blue Ribbon is a long defunct company, and I suspect Warwick is as well. Anyone know anything about this?

Either way, I really like the bridle so far.

Thanks!

I will get some as soon as I get home! :) It's nothing super fancy, just a plain raised hunter bridle, but I like it!

We have a few of both brands running around neither were that price. They were in the $50 range.

Some horse people change their horse, they change their tack and discipline, they change their instructor; they never change themselves.

I purchased this one for about $50, too, as old stock NWT. What is your experience with these brands?

Keep them clean, keep them conditioned and they are holding up fine. Some are used for lessons and even with the added use not an issue.
