If you'll only be doing eq, pleasure, and jumping...shouldn't you be looking at close contact/jumping saddles? Not all purpose?

And as for all those ebay saddles you listed...crap! Honestly, you'll be MUCH better off in a quality-made used saddle than a low-grade new package deal. Plus a used saddle will already be broken in. :)

Look for something Made in England. Or France. Or Germany. Basically all of Europe is good. And actually, newer Argentina-made saddles are coming up in the world (Pessoa & HDR for example). Many are made with European leather, but just assembled in Argentina to make the price lower.

Padded flaps are very trendy right now, so you can pick up a quality plain-flapped saddle for super cheap! Like a Crosby Prix des Nations.

In one of your other posts, you mentioned wanting to get everything together, not having to buy your fittings separate. Why is this? Wouldn't you like to pick out the appropriate size and quality of items used by you and your horse? Even still, many used quality saddles on eBay include fittings too.

Umm, none of them! The first one would be the worst because it's black and generally black is mainly used in Dressage.

How about:

Hermes' are amazing. *drooooool*

If you're really set on getting a new saddle with all fittings included...you're going to have to stick to a synthetic to stay in your budget. I hate synthetics, some people love them. Or get a cheap, crappy saddle that will be off balanced, not accept oil, and have the color rub off.

You need an all purpose not a jumping saddle from what you have said, not only that but as your starting block, you don't need to spend a fortune. See if you can get the price down on the wintec and run with that.

May I ask why you recommend an AP saddle? I'd love to hear your point of view and why you think they're good.

In my experience, AP saddles' flaps are not forward enough for hunter seat or jumping (prevents proper jump position) and the seat is not deep enough nor flaps long enough for dressage.

I agree, I wouldn't recommend a strictly jumping saddle for Blu since it sounds like she may only possibly be jumping in the future. But I think I nice close contact (such as Pessoa A/O or Crosby Prix des Nations or similar) would suit her needs for (hunter) equitation and pleasure.
