Asmar All Weather Riding Jacket

Has anyone tried this jacket? I've been looking for reviews on It and was not able to find much information. I'm in between sizes (XS and XXS) and was wondering how this jacket fits. I'm 5'3 as well, so wanted to know how long the jacket is.

I have it and I absolutely love it. It's great for every day use as well as riding. It's not great for really cold temperatures tho so if you're looking for something to keep you warm it won't be a good fit. The sleeves are longer than most jackets which is great, and the extension in the jacket is fantastic to cover your saddle if you're riding when it's raining. You can even cover a horn if you happen to be riding western.

I absolutely LOVE that jacket and would recommend it to anyone. I'm 5'5 and the jacket fits about mid thigh and it is fitting. I have the XS and I'm 130lbs. I would still be able to fit a sweater or smaller layer of clothing underneath.

I clicked on this thread because I'm always looking for a better wet weather riding jacket. But I see that this one is "water resistant," not water proof. @my2geldings have you ridden it in actual rain, and it kept the water out? It's a lot of money to spend on something that's just water resistant, IMO.

@my2geldings I'm looking for spring/summer. I bought a long winter riding jacket this year and absolutely LOVED It so now I want one for summer too XD. I'm 5'3 and about 113-115lbs. My measurements fit the XXS, but I read that the jacket was a snug fit. Do you find It is? I'm wondering If I should go with the XS or XXS. I'm able to get a really good discount on the XS, so I was wondering If It would fit properly or be too big. Did your measurements match the XS size chart or did you size up?

If you waterproof the jacket with spray like you would condition any other jacket, it's actually fantastic. I've used that jacket for major rainstorms and have never had any issues but I also always keep my jackets well condition for it. I think if you didn't spray it down you would for sure not have any hope to handle a rain storm. It's not the most ideal material on its own to handle rain, but in addition to a spray-you'll have no problems at all. I would highly recommend it.
