@Spanish Rider I guess it would be looked down upon to strip off clothing until you meet the requirements?

HA! Celeste, don't give me any ideas! Or maybe I can drop in tomorrow for day surgery to have my alien babies removed. That would be instant weight loss!

@Blue , I forgot to ask: how is it that you are riding with those fractures?

Lol, I wouldn't call what I was doing riding, more like just staying up there. It was extremely uncomfortable, but the strange part is that sitting in the saddle was easier than lifting something. Strange. But they think the fractures are a little bit older that are healing badly. Or something like that. Hoping MRI has more to say

Trail ride has been cancelled/postponed. My friend's husband is having back/chest problems today after hauling their heavy suitcases up some stairs. Says it hurts to breathe. Hoping it is just muscular. So, now we are shooting for next week.

Had my picture taken today by BO with Ermitaño. I also got a couple of complements after my ride on him today, and I noticed some improvement myself. He definitely is more my size than Presu and, as he is a younger horse, he is more fun, but man does he get HOT. We managed a beautiful, relaxed, collected canter to the right, but to the left he was more tense/frustrated/dunno what. Felt like he was going to take off like a bat out of he!! at any moment. Set off all sorts of triggers in my brain, but I held it together (and changed leads as quickly as possible...). He is definitely a challenge I hope to learn from and overcome (or, well, at least survive).

Such a cute [email protected] Rider !! You be careful with those younger men!!!

@Blue that is crazy about the shot in the gun....I hope everybody heals up. I swear I saw that on a Diagnosis Murder episode!! That’s the Wild West for ya!! Take care of your back.

@phantomhorse13 Kestrel is going to be one gorgeous dog!! I love her. Looks like a wonderful NJ ride.

@Queen ofFrance88 brrrr!! The frost looks so pretty, but What Happened To Fall???

Heather and I are headed out tomorrow to do 16 miles on Collie Ridge. BORING, but every other trail will be SO muddy. We need to step up the pace....so out and back and out and back on Collie Ridge it is.....trying to do it in 2 hours.

I don't break horses, I FIX them!

@QueenofFrance08 : what the heck did that farrier use in Stitch's feet?! poor girl. hope she is back to normal asap.

@Blue : I sympathize with everything being damp and moldy. we have been dealing with that for months here, with no end in sight.. So very sorry to hear about your back. I hope you get the MRI asap so can figure out a plan to be feeling better. The filming sounded interesting - like the chinese curse interesting. I am glad everyone came out relatively unscathed.

@Spanish Rider : so sorry to hear about the trail ride postponement. i hope your friend's DH is ok. love the pic of you and Ermi!

@greentree : a trail without mud sounds amazing.. ride some for me!

Graded the last of the potatoes not in the ground this morning.. but too wet to be able to pick more. So I came home and did a bit of packing for the weekend. About to head out and see how much of a mess I can make of the lawn. It may or may not rain tomorrow, ugh.

There is no joy equal to that found on the back of a horse.

@Blue Sorry to hear about your injuries! Hope you heal quickly and get the answers you are looking for! Love the pictures of the movie shoot. What movie is this for?

@Spanish Rider Sad the trail ride was postponed! Love the picture of you and Ermi, and your socks!!!! How in the world are you close to the weight limit for the trail ride? They must not allow any men?!?!

@greentree I wish I could do 16 miles in 2 hours! I wish fall would come back, it snowed on the way home from the ride and I don't think it's ever snowed much before my birthday before (on the 28th)! Thankfully it missed our house so I can live in denial for awhile longer!

@phantomhorse13 where are you off to this weekend? He put Adhere (the stuff for gluing on shoes) in as a pad instead of the actual pad stuff and he continues to deny that he shouldn't have done that. I'm reallllllly not happy. Thankfully it cracked out pretty easily because a lot of people were warning that that stuff is hard to get off.

Spanish, that is a great picture! I have to say, you told us you were overweight, but you look awesome! Wish I looked that good.

Queen, its just a low budget, short film bringing to light the horrors of child trafficking in the '40's. Deep deep subject, and all very interpretive. It's one of those kind that ends up in some obscure film festival somewhere. Although this particular director did one that she entered into several of the larger well know film festivals and actually got a few accolades. I think it was a zombie type thing. It sounded fun though.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. MRI is this Thursday after work and hope to have a few more answers on what I can be doing to strengthen the muscles hoping to get relief.
