Then I worked with Link, who tried some new footwear:

More saddle time! The whole story is in my journal.

Saturday, we got George and Link out first thing:

That evening, rode with my SIL. I rode Amish:

Yesterday, I got Iggy out first thing:

Then, I got Link out for a solo ride:

Today, we finally got some rain!! We got super lucky as the tropical storm just sideswiped us, giving us a lovely 2" of rain but not much wind. The rain stopped about 4 and the ground is barely even squishy now. The crops already look less withered.

It is hot and humid enough outside to give my phone camera a hazy filter
Not getting a lot of riding in, but by just wearing a muzzle Raya is slowly shedding some extra weight. Once we get to ride more, she will look pretty good

Recently we had to put down our cat of 10 years (got him as an at least 5 year old according to vet estimate), and our house was suddenly so quiet. I mean, I haven't been alone in the bathroom for 10 years!
So we did something to help with the peace and quiet today: May I introduce Trouble and Fluffy (temporary names, I suppose)?

@SwissMiss Trouble and Fluffy are so cute!! Double trouble. If there is anything cuter than a kitten, it is 2 kittens. I love to see them tumble and play!

We were planning to only get one... Well, you can't have a 6 week-old kitten alone, right? So we needed two. And judging at how closely they snuggle together while they sleep, it was a good decision!

Btw, names already got changed to Misty and Stormy

Two kittens really are easier to deal with than one kitten. Like you said, they keep each other company. They play with each other rather than tearing up your house and climbing up your leg.

Another crazy week! Trying to catch up. The whole story is in my journal.

DH and I had a lovely visit with my parents last weekend:

Last Monday, I started with Phin:

Then I worked with Link solo:

Tuesday morning, it was already insanely hot by 9am. I tossed the bareback pad on George and we took Kestrel down to the creek for a walk:
