Im barely 5 foot 4 and weigh around 127-130 pounds and I ride a pony whose 13hh comfortably, we jump and he packs me around just fine, I love, love, love riding him, i look a bit too big but he doesn't mind. I also ride horses who are 14,15 and 16hh tall.

Don't worry you are not too big at all! Ignore whoever said you are because its not true, don't let them get to you.

My boy is a gaited cross too. He wasn't very "broad" when I got him but he has really packed on the muscle from toting me around or 2 years.
