Amazing what love can do.

I found this story online and I thought I would share it with you. We hear plenty of stories of horses that have died or been abused and just can't seem to get "right" again.
We need more well....heartwarming I guess you could say... stories like this one. I know it isn't much of a heartwarming one, but every saving story is great to hear and share with others.
One thing that always floats around my mind though - Why can't people just take care of these animals? What good is it doing either of you that animals suffer? I guess I will have to ask those questions to people myself, but it sure does bother me. If you can't take care of an animal in the first place, then why have it at all?

Well anyways, here is the story!

That is a great story. I see that they are out of Texas, there are a lot of poor abused animals in the Houston area, People down there look at having animals on their place like bling bling for their yard, then times get tuff or the work just gets "too hard" and they quit caring for them.

I was surprised to find this place here in town: United in Light, Inc. - Draft Horse Rescue and Sanctuary

A friend told me about it today, they rescue draft horses, and apparently they are the only organization in the country that does soley draft horses.

I am hoping to make it over there in the next couple of days to check it out and possibly take some pictures if they will let me.

I am from Livingston.

Used to spend my summers up in your neck of the woods, My grandma and grandpa used to live in White Fish. They moved up there with the rail road in 87, then came back after grandpa retired.

It is some real pretty country up that way. You tend to get a lot more rain than we do on that side of the divide.
