Another "how much is my horse worth" thread..

I had another thread regarding this topic not too long ago with one of my horses. I have another horse that I'd like to know his worth.

6 year old Chincoteague pony gelding, 15.1h (wouldn't really consider him a pony considering his height..). Was bought at the Wild Pony Auction 6 years ago in Chincoteague, VA when he was 5 months (so yes,he was wild for a short period of time). Bathes (hates it though), stands for farrier picks up all 4 feet. Lunges all gaits, even over jumps, knows voice commands, like walk, trot, canter, woah, sort of knows back up, etc.. Trots in hand, stops when you stop walking/jogging. Broke w/t/c/g/backs up, jumps 2ft, started on barrel patterns. Is mainly used for English riding, but does do western, though it doesn't suit him. He sort of knows how to move off of leg pressure, but not quite there yet. He has a spooky side to him. He does know Showmanship, but it seems to make him bored (it makes me bored!!). I taught him how to "hug" on command lol

Fun fact, not sure if this will add anything or not, but he does have Arabian blood in him. The people in the town had brought an Arabian stallion to the herds some years ago to help with inbreeding.

Value seems to be really variable depending on location. In my neck of the woods, a horse with all the basics on him, but not really specialized in any one direction (nothing wrong with that) would fetch around $2,000-$3,000.

Thanks for your input!! If any of you would like to see a couple pictures of him jumping, i can get those. I've been told he's a fantastic jumper, even when he is new to it. He's been a Hunter jumping prospect ever since he was 2 years old.. He spooked and jumped a 5 foot fence no problem :0

photos would be really important. He could do all of that and be poorly conformed/ conditioned and not be worth much.

Well I am in Texas on vacation right now and don't have anything to put pictures on here.. I have no pictures of him on my IPad, sadly. Unless some of you want to add me on FB, then you can see plenty of pictures.
