Any advice?

If I wanted to start up a summer camp for kids who love horses, but have little to no experience with them, what are some things I should keep in mind/be aware of?

I'd love some advice!

Basically what I have in mind is a summer camp program for girl ages 7+. I'd offer 1, 2, 3 and 4 week sessions throughout the summer. The girls would learn to halter, lead, handle, groom, saddle and unsaddle their "own horse" over the length of their stay. They would bunk in cabins near the barn and ride every day. They would also go on at least 2 trail rides before they leave.

Any comments? Any advice?

Are you saying you have little experience with horses, kids, or camps?

No, sorry. I think my questions were a little sloppy.

I have two kids of my own - they are both in college. I've been working with horses for over 20 years. I have the littlest experience with camps, and how to run one.

Sorry for the confusion!

Oh right. And my camp would be for kids who have little to no experience with horses.
