1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?
I can't really think of a difficult horse, per se... It really depended on the time. When I first got my quarab he was incredibly difficult for me until I "grew into him". But I've never been on a horse I couldn't handle, if that makes sense...

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.
We're all opinionated morons who are trying our best to learn what we can. There's love, too.

3. Western or english saddles, why?
I love english and australian, I don't like western because the saddles are heavy and uncomfortable (if I want comfort I go for australian), and I hate the horns, especially because when I was younger my mom's friend was on a bucking horse and the horse flipped on him, pushing the saddle horn right through his thigh. That scarred me a bit, lol.

4. Least favourite breed, why?
I don't have a least favorite. All breeds have uses and some just don't have uses that I could use. But I don't dislike them or anything...

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.
PROBABLY... Horses that aren't sensitive at all. I rode a barb horse once that was like being on a dead animal being dragged around to move... He was stiff, and I'm used to my horses. I work really hard to keep them very sensitive like they naturally are, if that makes sense... no hard mouth, etc. Granted this was my first time EVER riding this horse, so I wasn't adjusted to him, but it was incredibly frustrating and it ruined my hunt seat lesson (I couldn't concentrate on learning what I needed to, which was difficult enough, being a dressage rider, and add an unfamiliar horse the opposite of what I'm used to, and... disaster, lol)

6. Describe your ideal horse.
Ideally... a horse that's not too big or too small, maybe 15.3-16.1 hands, strong thick bone, graceful, lots of fire, very smart and sensitive, FAST, I'm not a fan of mares so maybe a gelding or stallion. Ideally perfect for 3 day eventing, endurance, and dressage, but can be taken out on the trail for a relaxing canter or gallop down the wash. Pretty much a horse that can do and excell at anything I point it at... Always puts everything into what it's doing, I love a horse with a big heart...

7. Have you ever been scared to get on a horse? If so, why?
Oh. yes, when I first got Sombre, he scared me. He was big, he was strong, and he ran so fast he flew, not to mentioned he loved to so, and would when he could... The more afraid I was, the more determined I was to show everyone I could handle my "crazy arabian", and I refused to let him win, lol.

8. Most expensive piece of tack you own.
It's not expensive as tack goes, but my saddle, which is a rather mediocre english saddle. It works, but it's not the best.

9. Boots or polo wraps?
Boots. I don't see how polo wraps help much... I mean obviously they have a purpose, but still, boots.

10. Trail riding or ring work?
I really love both. It's a matter of mood/ necessity.

11. Favourite tack brand.
I can't really say, I've never really had a good tack brand. Not in english tack. My Circle S western saddle when I was younger was great, it's still in good condition.

12. How tall is your horse?
One is 14 hands, the other 14.3. Gerri has flat withers, so Envi is taller.

13. Do you prefer short or tall horses?
Size doesn't matter- but preferably, I don't like anything excessively large. Small I can deal with, but over 16.2 hands is excessive and unnecessary as a riding horse. Not to mention I'm not large myself, around 120 lbs and almost 5'4'', so it's not hard for me to be out-horsed...

14. Cowboy, paddock, or tall boots?
I love my paddock boots. Never work tall boots and I've had bad experiences with cowboy boots...

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?
I don't show my horses as they're not ready, and my paint isn't registered. My arabian is registered but I don't know his registered name... I'll have to check.

16. Any nicknames for your horse?
Geronimo: Bowling Ball, Large One, *******, Baby, Gerri, 'Mo, Fatass, Fatty, Wonder Pony, Wild One, Studly... there are more... lol.
Envi: Studly, Mr. Stud, Pretty Boy, Mighty Mouse, Wonder Stud, Wonder Pony, Wild Arabian (he's not that wild, lol), Dumbass, Brat, My Boy, Baby... so many more... Ugh....

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?
Dealing with my quarab's calcified knee. The surgery was too expensive and it would have just grown back anyway, so there wasn't really a way to stop it. It was a slow death sentence- the vet told me he couldn't do heavy work like barrels, and I just had to sit and wait until it got so big he couldn't move and he had to be put down. Dealing with that was a nightmare...

18. Worst fall?
I can't remember.

19. Ever ridden side saddle?
If you count flipping my legs over to one side of the horse/saddle, all the time. In a proper side saddle.... no.

20. Ever ridden a saddleseat horse?
Nope.

21. Where was your horse born?
Envi was born here (edit- literally a few hours from my house in Arizona), I'm not sure about Gerri. (edit- Either here in AZ or Oklahoma, where his old trainer bred his horses, but that's only if he bred him which I'm pretty sure he did)

22. What was your horse bred for?
I don't think Envi was bred for anything specific. Geronimo was definitely bred for western sports, maybe reining or cutting.

23. Does your horse load well?
Neither of them. I don't go places enough anymore...

24. How many saddles do you have?
I have a western that is too small, my old english which is also too small, and my current english.

25. Nylon or leather halters? Why?
I love the look of leather halters, but they're expensive. I just have rope halters because they work so much better.

26. Ever ridden a mechanical bull?
I was going to, but I chickened out, lol.

27. What discipline are you least experienced in?

I have a bit of experience in halter/ wp, I'm learning dressage, I have a lot of experience in barrels and poles, and I took a jumping lesson once...

28. Indoor or outdoor arena?
...what's the weather like?

29. Is your horse push-button?
Absolutely not. Lol.

30. Ever taught a lesson?
A few unofficial ones. I teach my sister to work with her 2 year old and I try to help her with her riding (she needs it), but she doesn't really listen... I also give her friends little 'how-to's', but I've never taught an official lesson.

31. Bareback or under saddle?
That depends. What horse, what situation, etc. I don't ride Geronimo on long rides bareback, for instance...

32. Green horses or push button?
I suppose I'm partial to green horses. Push buttons are nice sometimes, but I prefer greenies.

33. Favourite coat colour?
Probably bay. A nice bay.

34. What breed have you always wanted to ride?
Andalusian.

35. Most recent fall?
A couple years ago when I first rode Geronimo, to see if I wanted him. He took a super tight turn and I wasn't ready, and I flew (very gracefully) to plant my butt in the dirt. I got up, dusted myself off, heard hooves coming, looked over and saw Geri trottin back to me like "Dude you're supposed to be with me."

I took him home, lol.

High five for falling off of your horse then bringing it home the same day..That's exactly what I did with my Nikki..

My answers:

1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?

A 4 or 5 year old OTTB. He was bought by a girl at the barn I used to ride at who had no where near enough experience to handle him but thought he was pretty. So I would ride him from time to time for her. He was stiff as a board, had no give at all, was a pretty poor mover, and had a lovely habit of flinging his head up and trying to gallop off with his rider. If I was getting paid to train him I would have rode him far more often and worked hard on fixing his issues, but I was getting up there just so the horse wouldn't go nuts doing nothing.

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.

Dallas and I have been a team for 7 years, since he was a just turned 4 year old. He has a rough history which made things tough at first. Now we're extremely close. We know each other so well. He's my best friend.

Shaymus I didn't get until he was 16(at least) but I've had him for almost 7 years. He's a little saint. Does anything I ask him to do, great little confidence builder. Shay tends to ride better for me than anyone else, but will pack around anyone. He's also my best friend.

3. Western or english saddles, why?

English saddles. I've ridden in English saddles since I was 4. I own a western saddle and have done some western riding, but prefer my English saddles.

4. Least favourite breed, why?

TBs... *hides* I hold nothing against the breed itself. But I've only met 2 TBs in my whole life that I actually enjoy. Maybe I'm just unlucky.

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.

Horses that have no whoa, and try to plow through your aids and just go.

D: Daddy's lines were reining, roping, more western lines. Momma was mostly Hunters.

S: We're not sure... He's MorganXQH.

1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?
A mare we used to have....she was a dingy hoe and was that way from day one she hit the ground. You got on her and just FEEL the tension in this horse....never once did she relax. And you couldn't ask her to do a simple thing without her getting frazzled and having a meltdown on the spot. We sold her and the people named her Patience but soon realized we weren't giving up on her....she was just goofy and had some loose screws up top.

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.
Me and JJ are an amazing team...when we are on we are on...when we have an off day we have an off day. We sorta melt together and are a good match for one another.

3. Western or english saddles, why?
Western...I barrel race and just prefer the feel of a western saddle.

4. Least favourite breed, why?
Arabians....they are just a little too flighty for me. I like a horse thats brain stays between its hears and doesn't jump at a flys fart. Yes there are good and bad but the breed is a hotter breed and me and hot horses just don't get along. Plus they don't fit into my program.

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.
Ill mannered horses.....I have more little ones but that is probably my biggest one lol.

6. Describe your ideal horse.
I want a horse with heart and the drive to do their job well. They have the correct build ect. but what really matters to me is a horse with the heart and drive that they give their all to you.

7. Have you ever been scared to get on a horse? If so, why?
The above stated mare....she offered to rear when you asked her to WALK once (she never relaxed and would always break gait and jiggy jog....would get hot and frazzled when you tried to correct her). That wasn't the deal sealer but I just didn't like how she felt. You could feel the tension and I just didn't trust the horse as far as I could throw her, never did. If a horse is that off I want NOTHING to do with them.

8. Most expensive piece of tack you own. Saddles

9. Boots or polo wraps?
I like boots on the fronts when running and polos on the backs because they go up further, and most my horses prefer the polos.

10. Trail riding or ring work?
A bit of both....you need to switch it up when possible or else horses will get sour to the ring work because it consists of the same thing.

11. Favourite tack brand. I have more then one lol...
12. How tall is your horse?
JJ- 15.2 Scrat- 15.1 Polly 16.3 BB 14.3

13. Do you prefer short or tall horses? Horse between 15-16

14. Cowboy, paddock, or tall boots?
Cowboy Boots

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?
JETBKUS IMAFRENCHMAN, FLASH N DASH BIANKUS, RJ BUG N ME, BLUE BADGERS BOSS

16. Any nicknames for your horse?
Depends on the day lol....

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?
Quite a few years ago one of the broodies and her foal were attacked by a cougar...both made it.

18. Worst fall?
I have been lucky and haven't really had a bad fall.

19. Ever ridden side saddle? Nope

20. Ever ridden a saddleseat horse? Nope

21. Where was your horse born?
Washington, Montana, Idaho, CAN, Oklahoma (consists of ALL the horses not just performance horses.

22. What was your horse bred for? Barrels

23. Does your horse load well? Yes they all load well.

24. How many saddles do you have? 11

25. Nylon or leather halters? Why? Rope Halters..

26. Ever ridden a mechanical bull? Yes lol

27. What discipline are you least experienced in? Pleasure

28. Indoor or outdoor arena? Hmmm would love an indoor, could be heated and cooled :)

29. Is your horse push-button? No

30. Ever taught a lesson? Yes

31. Bareback or under saddle? Both

32. Green horses or push button? Green, like the feel of progress in their training.

33. Favourite coat colour? Roans, Choc. Palominos, Liver Chestnuts

34. What breed have you always wanted to ride? Friesian (sp)

35. Most recent fall?
This Spring at a big race, went to save the second by lifting my leg and my guy made a bigger and faster move and I got a hair off balance and hit the dirt like a pancake.

Conformation is how far the horse CAN go,
Mind is how far the horse WILL go,
Training is how far it DOES go.

1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?
-I can't really remember if I've ever ridden a difficult horse :\ I've had it pretty easy over the years lol.

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.
-I don't currently have a horse, but I tried out a horse 2 days ago and it was amazing. Best ride I've had in years. I was comfortable on him, I trusted him and he trusted me, I jumped over jumps the horse has never even seen before and he was perfect. He listened to me when needed and yeah, it was awesome. I have my finger on the trigger in terms of buying him now :)

3. Western or english saddles, why?
-English, more comfortable to me just because I've ridden english since the day I started riding. I tried western for about a month and it just wasn't my thing. Plus I think english saddles are easier to work with than western. But that's just my opinion.

4. Least favourite breed, why?
-I don't really have a least favorite breed, actually.

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.
-In terms of the horse? Or the rider? For the horse-when the horse is so stubborn and lazy that even so much kicking, squeezing, etc. can do so little. For the rider-when the rider acts like they're best rider since sliced bread and acts like they're the greatest around you.

6. Describe your ideal horse.
-Something that will challenge me in some ways but still listen to me. Quiet, seems to enjoy what he does as much as I do. Has to be over 16 hands minimum and max probably like 17.2 hands. I like the standard bay horse but am open to any color except white. Has to have the puppy dog personality and loves to work outside just as much as inside.

7. Have you ever been scared to get on a horse? If so, why?
-Absolutely. This past summer I had such a bad fall that recently going to the barn I would get these nervous butterflies in my stomach like I had to stand up in front of 200 people and give a presentation. The fall was definitely a confidence "knocker."

8. Most expensive piece of tack you own.
-Hmm, at the moment probably my tall boots (around $90 I guess?), but my most expensive was my saddle but I sold it once I grew out of it.

9. Boots or polo wraps?
-Whichever, I guess. Maybe boots because they're just easier to work with?

10. Trail riding or ring work?
-Both, actually! I like ring work to get the work in that I need with a horse but trail rides are nice on days you just feel like getting out of the arena and relaxing.

11. Favourite tack brand.
-Don't really have one actually.

12. How tall is your horse?
-If I get the horse I tried out, I would guess he's between 15.3-16 hands.

13. Do you prefer short or tall horses?
-I prefer tall but if a shorter horse comes along and they're the right one for me then I'm definitely open to shorter horses.

14. Cowboy, paddock, or tall boots?
-Tall boots.

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?
-None, don't have one.

16. Any nicknames for your horse?
-Walter, Waltie

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?
-Haven't really had to deal with any medical issues.

18. Worst fall?
-Last summer I was trying out a TB mare to lease off-farm. Within a few minutes she was at a full gallop around the arena, came to the other side straight for the wall and stopped short. Next thing I knew I slammed my lower back and head against the wall of the arena and did a "roll" off the wall and then slammed my lower back on the ground. I could have sued the owner because 1. she proceeded to tell me after I fell that I probably shouldn't have ridden her because she's more of a one-person horse. 2. She never had me sign a waiver stating that the basic that she couldn't be held liable for injuries. I can easily say I will never be going to her for a horse again.

19. Ever ridden side saddle?
-At camp when I was younger, but in a regular english saddle

20. Ever ridden a saddleseat horse?
-Nada

21. Where was your horse born?
-None

22. What was your horse bred for?
-None

23. Does your horse load well?
-None

24. How many saddles do you have?
-Haha, none..

25. Nylon or leather halters? Why?
-Nylon, since it's cheaper but you can get the leather safety head-stall incase the horse ever has reason to pull out of it easily.

26. Ever ridden a mechanical bull?
-Noo haha

27. What discipline are you least experienced in?
-Eh, dressage. I just look at the movements and dressage tests and think "Oi, I could never remember to do what and where to do it."

28. Indoor or outdoor arena?
-Indoor during the summer and winter and outdoor during spring and fall. Perfect balance.

29. Is your horse push-button?
-The ones I've ridden so far? Yeah

30. Ever taught a lesson?
-Not really, but I have helped in lessons for a little while.

31. Bareback or under saddle?
-Considering I haven't ridden bareback in like 7 years, under saddle.

32. Green horses or push button?
-I like both. Green horses are a challenge and it's nice to see the progress they make. I like push button when it's nice to have a break from the challenging rides.

33. Favourite coat colour?
-Dark bays and deep chestnut colors

34. What breed have you always wanted to ride?
-Hm, probably some sort of draft just because they're so powerful and built and huge. Plus they're so quiet and such teddy bears. They look like fun to ride.

35. Most recent fall?
-Most recent was last summer with the crazy TB mare and even more crazy TB owner.

1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?

Kaggi, a lead mare of a large herd. One of the horses I learned to ride on. She was meant to raise my ability to focus and to insist, because she had been trained with very dominant methods and had become sour and unwilling as a lesson horse. She'd bolt, she'd bite your legs, she'd fight against anything, she'd buck and also had a very short temper, difficult to saddle, aggressive from ground, you name it... Hard times!

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.

He is young and very dominant, so we sometimes have little fights over who will be the leader, but it is obvious that he really enjoys my company, and I enjoy his.

3. Western or english saddles, why?

English. There is no western riding in my country.

4. Least favourite breed, why?

I don't have such a breed - all have their pros and cons.

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.

Trying to brush off riders' legs agains fences and trees.

6. Describe your ideal horse.

I own him. :)

7. Have you ever been scared to get on a horse? If so, why?

Yes, I used to have such moments when I had to ride Kaggi. She'd bolt into canter when I didn't know how to canter myself and I couldn't stop her, and she'd try to bite my legs at the same time. But I got over it and later our cooperation improved.

8. Most expensive piece of tack you own.

My saddle. It is a simple A/P English saddle by Kieffer, and I bought it used - cost me about $200, I guess. But it is a very good saddle that fits my horse.

9. Boots or polo wraps?

None, I have never used them. But I guess I will have to try boots later, when I start jumping more seriously.

10. Trail riding or ring work?

Both. Each have their positive influence to one's riding.

11. Favourite tack brand.

Kieffer.

12. How tall is your horse?

16.2 hands, if I understand this measurment system correctly.

13. Do you prefer short or tall horses?

The taller, the better! Though I look funny on the bigger ones. :)

14. Cowboy, paddock, or tall boots?

Paddock and tall boots. As I'm an English rider, I have never had cowboy boots.

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?

His registered name is Snickers and he doesn't have a show name.

16. Any nicknames for your horse?

Lots. :) Trickster, Trickey Snickey, Snicks, Snickey, Mr.Moose, Monsieur Snickque and Snicket are some of them.

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?

I haven't had to deal with anything really bad, thank God. Just some thrush, minor cuts and bruises, some fungal infections, light coughing and such.

18. Worst fall?

I had a jumping lesson and my horse refused to take off at a jump, so I came off, hitting the jump with my head. Thankfully, I had a helmet on, but I got a bad concussion.

19. Ever ridden side saddle?

No.

20. Ever ridden a saddleseat horse?

No.

21. Where was your horse born?

In the countryside of Latvia.

22. What was your horse bred for?

Carriage driving and hobby level jumping.

23. Does your horse load well?

He loads perfectly.

24. How many saddles do you have?

Just one.But I'd like to get a good jumping saddle, too.

25. Nylon or leather halters? Why?

I have a nylon one, but I'd like to get a leather one instead. They look much better on him. However, I usually use a rope halter.

26. Ever ridden a mechanical bull?

Yeah, lol, got on one during a party and could hold on the longest from our group. It was quite fun. :)

27. What discipline are you least experienced in?

Lol, tons of them. All the ones I haven't tried. But from the ones I train in - dressage.

28. Indoor or outdoor arena?

Indoor in bad weather, outdoor in good.

29. Is your horse push-button?

No, he needs a confident and experienced rider.

30. Ever taught a lesson?

Yes, several lessons for beginners in riding and groundwork, but it is not what I usually do.

31. Bareback or under saddle?

Under saddle for serious training and extended periods of riding, bareback for fun and improving my balance.

32. Green horses or push button?

An experienced horse with his own mind and strong personality. :) But I would like to get into training green horses eventually.

33. Favourite coat colour?

Coal black, dark bay, blue roan.

34. What breed have you always wanted to ride?

Andalusians. And I never turn down a chance to ride an Arab.

35. Most recent fall?

Sometime this spring. My horse took a sharp turn while cantering in the trails when I wasn't paying attention and I came off. Nothing serious, though, and he stayed there to wait for me.

I have come a long way, to surrender my shadow to the shadow of my horse.

Either my own, when he's deciding it's a good time to start disagree with me. Or, a young mare I rode while I was away. She was very difficult to ride, specially when I was trying to be an instructor needing to get around and she'd be running sideways, bucking as she spooked at some kid cantering past.

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.
Horse - his getting fit currently. His recently been sick, so we've got a long road ahead of us. Me, shall not be mentioned .
3. Western or english saddles, why?
I'm actually going to say Western, I train in English all the time and when I go away I ride in a stock saddle. It's just so much more relaxed, and a lot harder to fall out of! I'm planning on buying one to keep at home, except I think Chinga might look a bit weird in one.

4. Least favourite breed, why?
Don't really have one. I'm one of those people that tend to not judge a horse by it's breed. If I had to choose one, I'd probably say Miniature Pony - one I rode as a pony was a total brat.

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.
People who think kicking and pulling or see-sawing is the correct way to get their 'fancy show horse on the bit', sweetheart. No. It's just not going to happen like that. Horses need correct training. On that note, people who think they are trainers and try to train not only their horse, but other peoples horses and their only beginners. It's just, unsafe.

6. Describe your ideal horse.
Something very similar to mine, but younger. Even though his only twelve - I just want him to be younger so he lives longer!

7. Have you ever been scared to get on a horse? If so, why?
Never been scared, there's no point getting on a horse you are scared of. I have been cautious though.

8. Most expensive piece of tack you own.
Probably my dressage saddle or my jumping saddle.
9. Boots or polo wraps?
Polo wraps, even though they take a little longer - they offer more support.

10. Trail riding or ring work?
Ring work, I'm an eventer. Although, I still very much enjoy taking my horse out for a hack - he loves it too.

11. Favourite tack brand.
Tekna or Bates. So keen to be getting a tekna.

12. How tall is your horse?
16.2 hands.

13. Do you prefer short or tall horses?
Tall horses, probably because I'm use to one. However, I am quite small. So, I enjoy the ponies too - they're always fun!

14. Cowboy, paddock, or tall boots?
I secretly prefer my cowboy boots, but the eventer in me is going to have to say tall boots! However, I've started riding in my paddock boots quite a bit. So, all?

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?
Sir Success.

16. Any nicknames for your horse?
C-Beast, Doo-bear, etc.

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?
My horse suffered from very bad gastric ulcers and had several episodes of major colic.

18. Worst fall?
Smashing my face into a cross country jump. Solid, literally.

19. Ever ridden side saddle?
Yes, didn't go to well.

20. Ever ridden a saddleseat horse?
No, it'd be cool though. Now I want too...

21. Where was your horse born?
Melbourne, Victoria.

22. What was your horse bred for?
Racing.

23. Does your horse load well?
Very well, his a self loader. He loves it.

24. How many saddles do you have?
Four, kinda a collection going on..

25. Nylon or leather halters? Why?
Nylon, my horse is known for breaking things. I'm currently ordering a leather one with his name on it and stuff.

26. Ever ridden a mechanical bull?
Sure have, laughed so much.

27. What discipline are you least experienced in?
Um, probably side saddle. I know a fair bit about both English and Western disciplines.
28. Indoor or outdoor arena?
Outdoor, I enjoy the sun.

29. Is your horse push-button?
Not at all, far from it actually.

30. Ever taught a lesson?
Many, it's almost a hobbie.

31. Bareback or under saddle?
Bareback & Undersaddle. Depends the horse I'm riding and what I'm doing..

32. Green horses or push button?
Green, never been a fan of push button.

33. Favourite coat colour?
Bay, only because I own one.

34. What breed have you always wanted to ride?
Clydesdale. I mean, how cool would that be?

35. Most recent fall?
Um, not sure. I haven't fallen off in a while. I think it was when the horse thought it was cool to flip over on me.

Sir Success. Eventer.

1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?
So far I don't have many options but I would say my own Sammy probably just because you couldn't give him an inch or he would take a mile. He has improved a lot though.

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.
Sammy and I are like two peas in a pod. Apache is a work in progress

3. Western or english saddles, why?
Either though the horn on a western always worries me.

4. Least favourite breed, why?
I don't have one.

I have a few cause I constantly deal with them at work - rearing, striking, cribbing I also heard a horse grind its teeth once "shivers"

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?
Sam-none that I know of, Apache-Apache White Sox

16. Any nicknames for your horse?
Sam - Goober, jerk, noob Apache - Ninja, derp

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?
The worst I've had would probably be when Apache had two hoof abcess' recentl. I have been pretty lucky so far.

18. Worst fall?
When I was left hanging between Sammy and the fence and belly flopped onto the ground. Thankfully it was at a stand still.

19. Ever ridden side saddle?

Something drafty

35. Most recent fall?
About 2 months ago I tried to jump on Sammy bareback and overshot, and found myself lying on the ground beside him. Only to have him look at me like I was a derp. I never understood how people did it before but I learnt that afternoon.

My two horse Apache and Sammy are my world
along with our dogs Patch and Bear.
But I will always love you Jimmy R.I.P

1. Most difficult horse you’ve ridden and why?
I currently have an Arabian gelding who tends to be difficult.

He's sensitive, reactive, and easily startled, so you have to be on your game when you ride him. He also needs a confident rider, or he gets nervous.

2. Describe you and your horse’s connection.

Casper and I have a decent working relationship, but he can be frustrating.

JJ's my good boy, although we have our disagreements.

3. Western or english saddles, why?
English. I like to be able to feel my horse underneath me.

4. Least favourite breed, why?
No such thing. There are just personal prejudices and preferences.

5. Biggest horse pet peeve.
People anthropomorphizing the crap out of their horses. They're animals, not furry people that walk on all fours.

6. Describe your ideal horse.

There are too many variables. Any horse can be 'ideal'.

7. Have you ever been scared to get on a horse? If so, why?

Bad riding wreck that caused me to have broken ribs, broken clavicle, and a bad concussion. Yes, I was wearing a helmet.

I had to take lessons on quiet schoolies before I was willing to get back on mine.

8. Most expensive piece of tack you own.

My Stubben Siegfried.

9. Boots or polo wraps?
Neither.

10. Trail riding or ring work?
Both. They each have their place.

11. Favourite tack brand.
It varies, depending on the item of tack.

12. How tall is your horse?

Casper 14.2 h
JJ 15.3 h

13. Do you prefer short or tall horses?
Short.

14. Cowboy, paddock, or tall boots?

All three.

15. What’s your horse’s registered name/show name?
DMD Casper
JJ's Sneaky Snake
Star Marraige

16. Any nicknames for your horse?
Casper--Crazy Horse, Little Man
JJ--Big Boy, Big Red
Mack--Old Man

17. Worst medical issue you’ve had to deal with, horse wise?
Neurological seizures resulting in euthanasia.

18. Worst fall?

Broken ribs, clavicle, and bad concussion. Also had a different riding wreck that damaged my pelvic region.

19. Ever ridden side saddle?

No.

20. Ever ridden a saddleseat horse?
Yes.

21. Where was your horse born?
Casper--Maryland
JJ--West Virginia
Mack--Virginia

22. What was your horse bred for?
JJ--Racehorse
Casper--Performance
Mack--Performance

23. Does your horse load well?

Casper--Absolutely
JJ--Most of the time
Mack--Nope

24. How many saddles do you have?

Two.

25. Nylon or leather halters? Why?
Nylon. I don't think there really needs to be a reason.

26. Ever ridden a mechanical bull?

Nope.

27. What discipline are you least experienced in?

It'd be a shorter list to ask which ones at which I'm more proficient.

28. Indoor or outdoor arena?
Do you mean do I have either of them? No.

29. Is your horse push-button?
Nope, never bought an already-made horse.

30. Ever taught a lesson?
No. I neither have the arrogance or training to think I can teach anyone how to ride.

31. Bareback or under saddle?
Bareback or under saddle what? Riding? Saddle.

32. Green horses or push button?
You already asked this question.

33. Favourite coat colour?

Chestnut with chrome.

34. What breed have you always wanted to ride?
