April and Bubbles are coming home - Finally!

So, it's been months and months, but we are FINALLY getting April and Baby Bubbles home.

I don't know how many of you remember them...Here's one of the threads I started about them with the story. Nothing has changed in Bubble's ability to be handled.

https://www.horseforum.com/horse-vide...-years-125320/

Basically, Mom just took the stock trailer, and put April in and Bubbles naturally jumped in being the tag along she is. Closed the door, and are on their way home from Washington as we speak. I stayed home to stupid-proof as much of the pasture as I could.

Seeing as she's never ever been out of the pasture at her place before, this will be interesting. She's also never been around any horse besides April. At ten years old, I don't even know if it's worth trying, but Mom wanted her home so therefore I'm going to work on her apparently. I'm gonna need a lot of roundpen time...

Wish us luck guys. Here's some old pictures of the two.

Update!

We put April in the round pen and left Bubbles out with Selena and Lexi. April seems more concerned than Bubbles does because she doesn't have friends. I just wasn't sure if Bubbles would try and jump out of the pen, but I knew April wouldn't.

I rode April today, her first real ride in twelve years. Such a good girl, she remembers so many things but definitely needs a tune up. I also gave her a bath...Twelve years worth of dirt was pretty rough on her. She wasn't pleased with the water but she felt super good after it.

Here's a pic of the girl:

She looks fantastic!

be in your journey, but not all of
them are meant to stay till the end.

Thanks :) I'm gonna see if I can get her tuned up enough to use as a lesson horse.

LOL she looks a lot better in nice tack than she does without it...She's so "long and wrong" the way she's built! Never would know she was a performance horse...
