Auctions in Virgina?

Next Spring I'd like to go look at horse auctions for an idea of a new horse.. Could someone help me? I have no idea where any are at? Or when? Thanks!

Professional Auction Services, Inc. Home Page - horse auctions, stock auctions, Equestrian Sales, Quarter horses, Paint Horses, Sport Horses, Show Horses, Show Ponies, Jumpers

They do sale in MD in Spring, and in VA in Winter and early Fall.

I also know 1 auction in MD and 1 in PA, but both are not good if you look for very good horse.

That's where I was going to suggest as well. I think they do one at Spring Break-out (in March) at Lexington and then another during, I think it's the Southern States Showdown in June....

Virginia Tech also holds their annual "Hokie Harvest" sale in the fall. They sell off some really quality horses that have been worked with by their animal science students. The money goes back to funding their equine program.

They also do a sport horse auction at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, Virginia. Don't know when, though.

Do we have any auctions (just wondering) where the horses are, uh, cheap. Haha. I haven't looked at that link but I'm about to. (:

Front Royal, VA has a horse auction. Got a nice little Fjordy-Hackney pony for $350.
