okay so today while my moms horse ran around he would buck and fart i was wondering why do they fart when they buck? 90% of the time when my horses are running around bucking and playing they will fart also.
any other funny questions? or random things you wonder about?
Simple physics...and I mean both definitions. Horses generate a lot of gas because their plant food goes through a fermentation process, of which gas is a byproduct. And when a horse exerts itself it tightens its muscles just like we do, which compresses its abdomen, forcing the gas out. Hope that helps...
My horse gets allergies and can cough a bit at times. Pretty much every time he coughs it is followed by a fart. Actually he farts a lot, probably the gassiest horse I've ever known! Do anything around his rear end and he always obliges with a big one :?
