Glad he's starting to feel better. That is a crazy drop in temperature, I could see why it would upset them.

The weather here has been ridiculous. We had 42oC and then 24 the next day.. Then really cool days and then bam, three days blistering heat and now autumn.

It is the only thing that would suggest. Both horses had colic around the same time, different feed, hay, and bedding types... Or just unlucky. The new straw they have in for bedding is apparently super scrumy and he has been chomping it. Mare is on shavings though.

When I found out I burst in to tears. I love that little man so much, and being so helpless, and not knowing the full whack of things was awful.

Glad he's feeling better, too. When he's recovered you really need to look into how this happened. PM me later and I'll give you some things to look for.

Oh! So glad he's on the mend Duffy! My mare colicked mildly once and the vet said it was quite possible it was due to a sudden drop in temperature.
