Carrots spoiling in summer heat?

My teacher/trainer has about 10 or more horses and sometimes students will bring 50# of carrots. They get spoiled and funky in the summer heat as the bag hangs outside for easy taking and easy to see. Any options where they wont spoil and can be easily viewed outside? they might not be in the direct sun, though they are sometimes. but still the heat seems to spoil them

Dump them out of the bag into a white or other light colored bucket or bin. Do not cover them. They will last a lot longer than when kept inside a plastic bag where they heat up and almost cook.

Live well, laugh often, love deeply...An' it harm none.

She needs a fridge in the barn or feed room. Nothing is going to stop fresh produce from spoiling in the heat.
