Clinton Anderson Clinician Academy cost
This is just something interesting I found out.
I just recently got back in touch with someone I hadn't seen in a while, and it turns out she is going to participate in the Clinton Anderson Clinician Academy. After looking it up, I found the following requirements:
- Youíre at least 18 years of age
- Youíre an active No Worries Club Member
- You own the Fundamentals and Intermediate Kits
- 10 Day Fundamentals Clinic
- Possibly offered a position in the Clinician Academy
The 10 Day Fundamentals Clinic costs $2,200 if you're a No Worries Club Member. The kits would be about $500 total for a member. Leasing a horse for the 10 day clinic is $250/day, versus bringing your own (clinic takes place in Texas, so may or may not be a long haul).
When I looked up the Clinician Academy, I found this information about costs:
Tuition for the Fundamentals Certification course is $18,000. The initial payment of $10,000 is due in two installments:
June 1st: $5,000 (refunds are pro rata based upon the number of weeks attended prior to withdrawal or dismissal during the first 14-week Academy trial training period minus the Colt Starting Clinic fee).
July 15th: $5,000 (refunds are pro rata based upon the number of weeks attended prior to withdrawal or dismissal during the first 14-week Academy trial training period minus the Colt Starting Clinic fee).
Upon graduation: $8,000 to be paid at a rate of $250 in 32 monthly installments after graduation.
Holy crapola!!! The website also stated this: "Depending on how hard you want to work, itís reasonable to expect you can earn between $50,000 and $100,000 in your first year of certification. Potential earnings increase as you become more advanced in your certification. As a Professional Clinician, for example you will make up to $1500 per day in a private lesson."
Any CA Clinicians on here? Are those earnings accurate? That just seems like a whole lot of money for something that really isn't in demand in our area.
