I've heard comments about the white sclera more times than I can count. I was walking by the pen of a really exceptional appy colt at an auction, only to hear two older guys talking, "Walk away from that one, he's got crazy eyes!!". Oye. My appy filly is the sanest horse I've ever owned, and she has two "crazy" eyes. Amusingly enough, humans have white sclera, so you think we'd be used to it by now.

Here's little miss "crazy eyes", and a picture of my other 'plain' bay, who is in foal to the third pictured horse, for what will undoubtedly be yet another bay.

LOL when we went to look at my appy mare my nonhorsey dh said you don't want that one. The whites of her eyes show!

Had to explain to him that they were supposed to be that way.

Just DO it and be happy that you can!

I really love the black paints w/ the black and white hair. I would not mind if i ran into one with the perfect personality. :) BUT... then I'd have to buy a horse... so maybe it's for the best for now that this has not occurred!

I love grullas and really dark bays. I also really like grays and dark palominos and coppery chestnuts.

I love blue roan, and slate grulla. I really don't pay attention to a horses color, though. I ignore color and look at conrmation and attitude. For instance, my friend has a beautiful, 17 hand dapple gray appendix quarter horse gelding. He is one of the most elegant, beautiful animals I have ever had the pleasure to view. I hate him. He is without a doubt the spookiest, most disrespectful, laziest horse on planet earth. He has ninja skills he uses for the sole purpose of biting blood out of you anywhere in the barn or pasture. He is so mean that he cannot be near other animals, including other horses. He is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. Then, on the other end, is the friendly, in your pocket blood bay Arab gelding I own. He is not the most beautiful animal (he is kinda plain) but he is friendly, respectful and liking to please under saddle.

I love palominos, bald faces, roans, most paints and blacks. Greys aren't my all time favorite but I think they are nice :)

I dislike chestnuts, sorrels, bays, browns. (I don't dislike them too much though because I have owned my fair share of those colors as well. )
