@JCnGrace Yes no flooding here. Dry No but if it rains enough to flood here that replica Ark they built in Tenn. better float.

I hope nobody else here gets flooded either.

Seen that in Oz they are having some really heavy rain in NSW also and there is flooding there now. I think all the fires are out except one if I remember the news right.

Gentle rehab.

I am 99% confident in the fit of the saddle now, which is nice. Mum's saddle dramas continue, her pony is definitely a wide (not XXW), and her saddle won't go in to a W. I offered her use of my saddle for now, until she sells hers and buys another, because my saddle fits ALL THREE of the horses. With the same gullet plate in it. It just needs a couple of shims at the back for Hippo, which we can add using that fancy expensive correction pad I spent so much money on.

@JCnGrace yayyy glad Hubs still likes the fixture! LOL Cutter is a smart one! I know, I hate when they stand in mud all day. It's been horrible.

@RegalCharm yes, only because it's so muddy outside still. I don't want it getting infected. It's super tiny now though, so I know I won't be wrapping it much longer, especially since it's not supposed to rain the rest of the week/next week. The vet said I need to keep it wrapped until it's completely healed & so it's out of the mud, we are just about there!

Here's a picture of it from last night before I re-wrapped it. So much smaller!

She was fine going back to the stall last night, but this morning was another story. She was just antsy, impatient, pawing, etc. Pacing, just wasn't having a good time. I took her out to let her walk around the barn, but she kept trying to go back to her hay in the stall. I'm like, do you want out or not?!

I'm sure she will settle, she has plenty of hay to keep her occupied, but gosh, I hate leaving her to go to work when she gets like that! Another horse is across from her, he's stalled because he has an abscess & he has to stay out of the mud. So at least she has a buddy! Hoping to just let her out tomorrow AM & that'll be IT! I know it's tough for her since she's always been outside. River is doing fine though, she has other horses next to their pasture so she's not being sour or anything which is good.

I woke up today thinking it was Friday...nope!

@PoptartShop . her leg is looking really good. You are doing a good job keeping it wrapped and dry. When I used to have to keep one in I always kept another one in too for company. She will be good once she starts munching on hay.

LOL no TGIF is tomorrow. but you do know that tomorrow never comes.
cause when you get there it is today and tomorrow is tomorrow. LOL

I live on the side of a hill, so don't have to worry about flooding. This morning, driving to work, I didn't see any problems on the roads I travel, but the radio did mention a few roads closed.

Courage is taking just one more step...

@blue eyed pony , Ikora looks pretty in her outfit!

@PoptartShop , it's 1:03 a.m. so officially Friday now, hope it goes fast for you so you can get your weekend started.

@RegalCharm and @Change , glad you guys don't have to worry about your houses floating away.

Dry but overcast here for most of the day, it started snowing this evening. Flash is so used to being wet he must think that's the norm now so he kept sticking his face in front of the spray while I was rinsing out their trough. I had to tell him it was too cold for a bath. LOL

I know you guys get tired of hearing my poop stories but this one was a momentous occasion. I knew I'd have a mess in the barn from feeding hay in there last night so when I looked there was 5 piles all in a line along the back wall. First time they've ever been neat about going in the barn! LOL Frecks and Thunder's side was a whole different story though.

Worked on the puzzle until I got it done today since I knew hubs would be wanting to hang the light that goes over that table. EIGHT pieces are missing! I know I can return it since I bought it at Walmart but not being able to see one complete after all the time you put into it is aggravating to say the least.

Meeting BFF in town Sat. for lunch so we'll go get Chinese, eat too much and talk each others ears off. It will be a good day.

R.I.P. JC 5/19/85 - 12/9/14. You made my life better.

@JCnGrace - thanks! That set is part gift from the fiance and part a set of polo wraps I've had sitting in my tack room forever, in the pile of stuff I had nothing to match with. Turns out I do now hahah. And my favourite navy and hot pink riding top looks fab too, but I look fat in it at the moment :(

What's interesting is I posted video of her rehab on my fb and everyone, without exception, said it was the off hind she's lame on. EVERYONE. Is that a statement in people's ability to spot lameness, or am I crazy?

She is definitely sounder with polo wraps on which makes me wonder if she might have wrenched a suspensory when she hit the tree? Sounder on harder ground (despite having terrible TB feet and normally being sounder on softer ground), sounder with tendon support. She's keen to work, so I have to keep in mind that she IS sore and she WILL work too hard if I ask her to.

I had a fascinating experience with animal communicators today. Specifically, I was the animal communicator, using kinesiology to get answers from another boarder's horse about his physical soundness. He has been off and on lame for 10 years! And he told me, in his way, that he's sore in his pecs, that he's MORE sore in his right pec, and that stretching and massage will help him but chiro and Emmett therapy won't. It's so weird. But his answers were very clear!

Also I finished a digital painting commission, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I wasn't confident I could do the lighting the way I wanted but it worked really well!

@RegalCharm LOL you are right about that! Yeah she turned out to be fine, I think she also gets sad when I leave so that doesn't help haha. & thank you! You getting us roses?! LOL.

@JCnGrace OMG! Speaking of poop, you should've seen Prom's stall this morning. I told her she must've had a field day. She never poops in one spot, always all over the place.

I confess, Promise was very happy to be back out in the pasture this morning. She tried to rush forward when I was opening the gate, almost knocking into me, so I made her back up, & worked her a little bit before I opened it. I was like I know you're excited, but you have to still be respectful child! Gonna change her wrap tonight since it probably got a bit wet (the mud isn't dried up yet, it will be by tomorrow with that 16 degree weather!). But after this weekend/next week maybe, I don't think I'll have to wrap it anymore because it's almost closed up. Just until the mud dries so it doesn't get infected, that's the last thing we need. Only reason really why I'm still keeping it covered. All this rain has made it so annoying & having to stall her of course. She knows how to make messes! LOL.

3-day weekend, here I come!

Ride more, worry less.
