@JCnGrace yea the thin mints are good but they changed something. Smell very minty but the chocolate coating doesn't taste the same and hardly taste any mint. Also have do se does. just a little peanut butter sandwiched between two little cookies. Carmen does like them LOL

Yep saddles are on saddle stands and covered up. Thought once about bringing them to the front room for the little ones to sit on and watch cartoons then I pictured in my mind the babies hollering and crying " MY TURN,, Pappy it is my turn tell her to get off. "" Quickly erased that thought from memory. LOL.

I did buy a new 10 ft. lead a few months back Have no inkling why I did that.
The neighbors Oak trees are in bud and I saw a couple of Robins chasing trespassers from the territory they have claimed.

Hope Everyone gets to ride this weekend or enjoy the endless fur flying off of their fur babies.

I am concerned for the security of our great Nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within. Douglas MacArthur

@JCnGrace I hope spring is near! LOL, nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you just need a break & I feel like this weekend I'm going to have an unproductive one. No sunshine here today either, just cloudy.

@RegalCharm I know, it took me awhile to sell the saddle I just sold. I had a lot of people asking about it, then lowballing me for it. Or, people asking questions totally IRRELEVANT to the saddle. Bunch of creepers. But, I'm glad I finally shipped it out yesterday! Off my hands lol.

I confess, last night went way better. I think giving Promise the other night off helped, because she was definitely a spazz Monday. The supermoon probably didn't help. LOL. She only had one spook during our trot, a kid & dog ran outside, but she recovered quickly & we just kept on riding! It started to drizzle, but again, we kept going! LOL, I was like a little rain won't hurt, why not!

It was so cute. After I did stretches with her & untacked her, I just hungout with her a bit. I like to do that! After I put her back in the pasture, she saw me walking to my car & she nickered to me, like she didn't want me to leave! So I walked back to the pasture & just gave her nose kisses! <3 Just so cute, I love her so much!

Definitely shedding LOL, I was full of hair after the barn yesterday!

Ride more, worry less.

@blue eyed pony : I have an 11 pro (it was a gift from my DH because my 6 was dying a rapid death) and I swear the camera is way smarter than I am. It takes amazing pics when I get it figured out though!

@JCnGrace : I am thrilled with how Link is coming along! But I am somewhat paranoid too, as saddle training babies is never without drama somewhere along the way.. I agree with your DH that trying to keep track of fobs and various batteries is a massive PITA.

@RegalCharm : thin mints are my favorites!

@PoptartShop : the time change always kicks my @ss.. hope you get back on schedule asap. glad you are getting horsey time (even if Promise can be silly).

Yesterday, I got more saddle time. The whole story is in my journal.

First up was George:

Phin was next:

Last up was Link:

@RegalCharm , maybe you were craving some horse time and buying some tack was the best you could do right at that moment. OR it was a deal you just couldn't pass up. LOL

The mint flavored Oreo thins are really, really good. I don't allow myself to have them very often. For some reason the last time I was at the store I glanced at them as I was walking by the cookie section and they had a closeout tag on the shelf. WHAT??? WHY??? I bought 2 bags and have already eaten them all. LOL Probably would have bought what was left on the shelf if I thought they'd stay good in the freezer but I figured the crunchy part would get soggy.

@PoptartShop , I think when people think they see Bigfoot they are actually seeing a person who just got done currying their horse during shedding season. LOL

Yay for Promise not spazzing out yesterday!

@phantomhorse13 , you already have Link past the point mine used to have a bucking fit if they were going to have one at all. It usually happened on the 3rd or 4th ride when they'd figured out what the heck you were expecting of them and about the same time I got confident they weren't going to buck. LOL

We had a storm roll through this evening and knock out power. Made supper easy to fix, we had fried bologna sandwiches and chips. Lost power made the hubs and dog a nervous wreck. I know why it bothers the dog but not why it bugs hubs so much. I grabbed a battery powered lantern and took my bath so that I didn't have to witness the two of them pacing about. We're back up and running now.

@phantomhorse13 I'm a long term DSLR user so I'm definitely smarter than my phone's camera ;P but portrait mode is fun and playing with it and the built in photo editing software gave me this;

I confess I was naughty and bought a fleece rug I couldn't quite afford. But... LOOK AT IT.

@phantomhorse13 same here, I love having more daylight, but my gosh I'm tired! Aww, I am sooo proud of Link! I love seeing your progress. So glad you are getting saddle time too! And sunshine!

@JCnGrace exactly! Totally resemble Bigfoot haha. It's crazy! Glad your power went back on! Probably because the hubs couldn't watch tv. LOL. Mmm, fried sandwiches actually sound amazing right now. Yummy!

I confess, I'm really glad it's Friday. It's raining today, but I don't even mind. Supposed to be in the 50's this weekend, so it'll be nice. Not doing too much this weekend, riding, & tonight my good friend from college wants to go out to dinner. Probably something simple like Applebee's, I'm on a budget! LOL.

BUT...this Sunday is Promise's 7th birthday!!! LOL. I can't believe she's gonna be 7 already! In 2mos it'll be two years since I got her. Time is just flying!

I have to grocery shop this weekend, but I'm absolutely dreading it, because of all the panic going on, it's gonna be crazy. I just wanna get my groceries & go! LOL

Ride more, worry less.

@PoptartShop , happy birthday to Promise! What did you get her for a present? Hope you have a wonderful weekend. And everyone else too!

@blue eyed pony , if you don't quit shopping you're going to turn into a tack hoarder like me! I won't even let myself look at all the goodies out there in the cyber world or I'd have packages arriving every day. LOL

@PoptartShop - happy birthday to Promise! Are you going to have a party for her? I went shopping this morning and the shelves were empty. I thought that most of the panic had past but the place was full of people.

@JCnGrace - Bigfoot! That explains our our large grey, hairy 'Bigfoot', Am Fear Liath Mr; it must be people who own grey horses!

I hope everyone has a good weekend

@JCnGrace aw thank you, she will get lots of treats, & I am thinking about getting her some new splint boots for when we do trails! Maybe the same color as her pad! I kinda want the whole set.

@Caledonian thank you! LOL we are going to have a little party and a 'birthday' ride LOL, I may take her out on the trails. I kinda wanna get a party hat & put it on her for photos, but I know last year she just tolerated it for a second haha. It really is crazy out here!

I confess, we are having a meeting at 4pm to demo an app for our phones & our computers/laptops at home...so it looks like we are still coming in Monday, but the rest of the week is unknown. May have to work from home. Which, I'm TOTALLY fine with (I'd love to stay in my pajamas & not have to commute, so I'll save gas!) as long as I am still getting paid. LOL. Which I'm sure I will be, but I'll know more this afternoon. A lot of schools are closing & sporting events too. Just insane!

I personally am not 'worried', I am just living my life. I hope everyone has a great weekend though!

Ride more, worry less.
