Conundrum/Advice about QH lines needed

So, let me start this story by saying I am not a horse broker. My goal in this whole scenario was never to buy and sell horses. That being said, I worked down in Texas a few years back training horses for barrel racing. I started them and finished them with neck reining and barrels. There was a certain horse that I had that once in a lifetime bond with, and she was supposed to be mine. My boss started doing some very inappropriate things toward me and I was forced to quit to save my dignity. Well, he kept my horse. She's a 14.2 hh Easy Jet 7 year old. She's only green broke right now because she doesn't trust anyone. The first owner that she had sent her to a trainer who literally beat the tar out of her. She's the kind of horse that's so frightened, you can't even show her a whip, without losing her. She trusts me whole heartedly though and I know if I had her home, she and I would go to great places in our lives.

He wanted $3500 for her, but since he has a soft spot for me, he's selling her to me for $2000. She has papers. The only issue is she's in Texas and I'm in Michigan now (I moved back home after I quit)

I can, no doubt pay for her price, and the traveling to get down there and back, although it's not as time efficient as I'd like.
That being said, I've been offered a deal. And I need some advice as to whether or not any of these would be a smart decision.

The deal would be for me to take another horse or 2 of the ones he needs to train and sell, because he's older and can't do it. In return, he would pay for my trip there and back, and I would get %15 of the sale price of each horse. (Easily $800+). My plan would be for him to pay for half of my trip before I leave, and the other half when I got there to make sure I don't get caught in a mess. But these are my choices as far as horses go (I don't have pictures of most, but I know he takes good care of them.. I'll get pictures later tonight though):

8 Year Old Gray Gelding, gentle (and broke, probably QH) $2,000

Dash for Cash bred gelding (with papers), 6 y/o, started on barrels $3,500

6 y/o Bay (also probably QH, has papers ..he just didn't say what breed) real gentle, likely green broke $1,500

Any input is appreciated!
