I have noticed you posting a comment about the old trainer possibly being abusive to the horse. What proof do you have that anyone was ever abusive to the horse or are you just throwing that out there because it sounds like a good excuse for bad behavior?

If you spend some time reading on this site then you will see a common note about that subject. That is to treat the horse as if it is a horse that needs training rather than tip toeing around it as if it was a fragile glass fixture. If you and your trainer spend the time to teach the horse ground manners and respect for you then almost all of your issues with the horse will disappear. Stop concerning yourself with what someone else did with or to the horse before you came along and treat and train the horse how you want it to be. That will get you the results you seek, not by looking for a past trainer to point the finger at.

Stop making excuses for the horse. Even IF she had been abused in the past, which I doubt, there's no reason for her to continue acting like an illmannered, badly trained beast.

The common denominator here is you. If you're 'forgetful' all the time about what you're supposed to be doing, maybe riding isn't your thing.

Stop anthropomorphizing the beast, as well. She's not a human being and doesn't think or react like one.

Sounds to me as if she's just a pushy brat and knows you're not going to do a thing to make her behave. If your trainer is unable to help you, maybe it's time your parents found you another one before you get badly injured or worse.

First of all, noone was rude towards you, so please don't be either. People just gave honest opinions (since it IS a public forum). Besides, capital text is against the forum rules (see Rule 4 in 1st link below).
