Talking Deposit on My Colt!

My Shire colt turned 6 months old today, and for his birthday, he received a deposit! I listed him for sale I guess about 3 months ago and have not had much in the way of serious interest. But today, I had someone call and is putting a deposit in the mail for him today. She'll be down in about two weeks to pick him up.

We're so incredibly happy, even Solstice is doing a happy dance!

Just wanted to share my extreme excitement and celebrations! Wish us luck that everything will go through as planned.

Congratulations, I hope that the check really is in the mail!

He is beautiful! I love draft horses. There are two Percherons at my barn and I absolutely love them. Such sweet, personable boys. Good luck on your sale though I personally would be reluctant to get rid of him!

Congrats!

Incidentally, I saw a FB listing with these pics and was totally wondering if that was you, lol.

Just to update, he is off to his new home, all paperwork and dinero exchanged. Phew, one less mouth to feed and I FINALLY got my mare back. She was such a great mother, but she was so concerned with him, I couldn't ride or work her to any extent, and even grooming could be difficult if he was hollering for her. Raising baby was fun, but I am glad it's over.

And yes, Cynical, he was listed on every draft and local horse page I could find on FaceBook, an ultimately, that's how I sold him. It really surprises me with the way horse sales have changed from putting flyers up at your local feed store, to websites (like Dreamhorse or HorseClicks) to now do most marketing and sales through a Facebook post.
