I rode yesterday evening and had a great time.
Another boarder and I were going to go for a trail ride, but to get to the trails we have to pass a field, and they were doing something to it that was causing a HUGE dust storm. So instead we wandered around the woods behind the barn.
It was really good for my boy, he had to push his way through branches, deal with me ducking and leaning to get under/around things, deal with my legs getting pushed into him as we squeezed between trees, step over HUGE logs that he could just barely get over, go knee-deep in mud, and deal with a brief bit along the road with cars and trucks going by.
Even though we trail ride a LOT, usually it's on clear trails - well marked, without too many branches, in good condition. So this was really good for him. And he was very good about it.
