Growing up I did ALL of my own tack/ horse shopping. I have run into so many buyers & sellers that are loony toons!

When was it... last month I think, I was looking to buy a new horse, found an amazing Arab mare, she was 10yrs old, trained, everything... she was $250. I talked to the lady for what a week? She said "Yea Ruth you can come out & see her, thats fine." I asked her for the address, the norm, phone number, things like that. She stepped around it, I didn't hear from her for a few days so I sent her another email, she never replied, I looked on horsedreams(something like that).com, Sandy had sold for $400.
The whole time I talked to her she had tried to push me onto her TB mare, Dreama. I now know why.

I am so very happy that I never ended up with 'Sandy'. I now have not one but TWO amazing horses.

I hate dealing with stupid buyers & sellers. Most days if I write in an ad "Only for experienced riders" or something of that nature, I mean it. I will write you back nicely, we rarely have anymore contact, if you need help with looking for things, ask after that its no more!
I am just fed up with the horse market, scams are so silly!

Stay away from that one! My dad went through that a few months ago with a tractor he was selling. He got a check in the mail for $1,500 more than the selling price (or something like that) and was told to use the money for shipping. But no information was provided for an address or phone number to contact buyer. He always got the 'contact my shipper at this number' blah blah blah. Finally we ripped up the check and moved on. Dad talked to our bank and they said that happens all the time. They want you to ship the item and then when you go to deposit the check-it's bad.
Good luck with everything-I can only imagine how frustrating this all is for you!

I got my horse shipped to me unseen, I was blinded by his sweet face, and as much as a jerk as he can be I think it was an almost perfect buy.
But I guess I'm the only reliable buyer to arrange shipping.
