Don't know much about horses

I'vegot a friend who is really into horses and every time we meet up we talk horses. To be honest, though, I don;t have a clue about what any of the words regarding horses that my friend uses (e.g. napping)

Could someone post what each of the words to do with horses mean please so my friend doesn't have to continually explain every horsey word?

Thanks all

Welcome to the forum!

We did something like that a while ago. I'll look for it but in the meanwhile, I'm sure a lot of members will join in and add some vocabulary. BTW, where are you located (country) because some terms are different in different countries. By "napping" I'm going to assume you are in the UK or Australia since, aside from what a rider may do when he's tired, that isn't a typical term in the US.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

I'm a yorkshire girl (UK)

When my friend says napping I keep assuming that it means the horse is having a rest/sleeping lol
