Filly I sold is being sold

Just last week I traded my yearling for a 5 year old mule.
I needed to sell/trade her because I learned the hard way that I'm not ready for training a horse her age.
I felt very confident that her new owners would be right for her.
Now, less than a week later, they have her listed up for sale or trade.
I know it's none of my business anymore, but I can't help but worry about her, even though I know it was the right decision to give her up.
I can't spend my life tracking her from owner to owner.
How do I let go?

My wife sold her "best" horse. Then 2years later tracked him down by his registered name.

She found out that, yep, he's still a jerk!

I'm not as lovey. I say gone is gone. You can't live with wishes, dreams and memories.

Ride your mule and move on.

Sometimes horses don't work out with the people who buy them, so they are passed on to someone who will.

No one can tell you "how to let go". You're just going to have to figure out what works for you. Clear your mind; go ride your mule.

I see this as the new owner bought something you didn't need and saw value in her and resold her for a profit. It's ALWAYS a good thing when a horse is valued.
BTW, are you a "Rose" fan? (Like "BadWolfBay?")

I always think its so sad when this happens. I hate to see an animal be shipped around like that. But you know sometimes things are just out of your hands and you just need to focus on what you have and leave things in the past. I'm sorry hun.

I had this happen with an animal once. I sold her to someone that said she would keep her and make her a part of their farm, well, they sold her months later to someone who then sold her at an auction.

It's not easy, and you will wrestle with it for a while, and you could certainly contact the people and ask what happened. it might put your ming at ease if they explain what's up and maybe they are working to find her a good home too,

but, you can make yourself crazy with guilt. YOU believed where she was going was ok and they would keep her, so you don't have to feel guilty about what they have done. Good luck, it's not easy saying goodbye to a horse, even if it's one that's too much.
