All I can say is that I am at work right now .

I like all the contributions here, I just have a moral dilemma clicking the "like" button when I'm worried someone might lose their job or do badly at their papers and I don't want to give a "who cares" message. I need a "thanks for posting" button, or an "appreciated" button! Housework, on the other hand...

I am hopelessly addicted to the written word, I think its a gift to be able to step into someone's mind for a few minutes, and out of your own. Most people are ,of course, never published, or if they are its just on a very small scale, so to be able to read the thoughts, feelings and experiences of those not often heard is great. Its also a pretty level playing field, no obvious genders, sizes, nationalities or other things that can, for one reason or another, bias an opinion.

I am also a life long horse addict with a non horsey family and friends that try, unsuccessfully, to under stand. After years of not really being able to talk much about what I loved, it was a relief to be able to talk to others who understood.

And lastly a knowledge junky, who loves learning, and the more I learn the more I see I still have to learn. A cycle I'll never get out of. Places like this are treasure troves of information, actual life experiences and people who know so much more than me.

so yes, I am another hopeless adict.

I have only found HF a couple of months ago and I really do enjoy reading what other people have to say. I have learned a lot on here. I'm retired now so can check in as often as I want, like right now I just happened to be dusting the keyboard and guess what came up?? HF, how about that?
Seriously, there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here and I am glad that they are willing to share this knowledge with others seeking help and advice.

I spend way too much time on line at the HF. 30 minutes turns into an hour an hour turns into 2. Never thought I would enjoy starring at a computer screen so much for so long. Was never like that at work
