Funny horse sayings!

Some of my faves are:

Appytude

You can tell a gelding, you can ask a stallion, but you must discuss it with a mare.

Shoulders like queen, hips like a harlot

I'm know there is more but I'm drawing a blank. Post your favorites!

I have heard:

1) dont trust a red head (love my sorrel baby)

2) One sock buy him, two socks try him, three socks eye him, four socks deny him (Whiskey has three...whoops)

3) Four white socks and a bald white nose- you better bop him on the head and feed him to the crows

Cant remember the context of any of them and dont pay any mind to them either! I love horses with socks! And would never think about feeding one to the crows. haha

These are from my great uncle... I don't necessarily agree with him 😜

Never trust a horse with bald face.
All paints are crazy (my first and so far best horse was a paint)!

hope i don't get in trouble for this but......

Attributed to Lady Thornicroft after the hunt … when a saboteur asked
her why the horse was so hot and sweated up; “If I had you between
my legs for two and a half hours you dear sir, you would be equally
as hot and sweaty.”

if you are a rider the #1 thing to do is---- marry a rich guy who doesn't like horses so hell spoil you and leave you to it. (told to me by my 4 yr old niece. when did she get so smart :P)

I have a friend who heard this one. A trainer at the track hears the call of "loose horse" as the horse rushes past a few yards away. The trainer says "Thats not one of mine, its going to fast".

For the very first I always found "Tell a gelding, ask a mare, discuss with a stallion.. "
We also have "Front end bites, rear end kicks"
the rest I just forgot..
