I posted in gaited but no response, so hopefully you guys can help!
I'm super excited- I've been living in Puerto Rico for five years now and have finally decided its time for a horse. I grew up with horses but haven't owned since college. Never ridden a paso till moving here but now...when in Rome! (and I've found that I love both their personality and their gaits)
After two months of looking I found a great little mare who I love- sweet, great gait and we'll trained. Comes from a good reputable person which is important here! She hasn't been used much lately and she is not full paso (she gaits just fine but no papers- down here they're called chongos), but that's not a big deal to me.
Anyways this post is part just being excited!! And partially, I need a name for her! She's a 8 yr old mare, chestnut, strikes me as a very pretty, feminine face, lighter build, about 14.1h. I'd like something Spanish or Taino (local Indians) since we're in Puerto Rico. She does not currently have a name, so nothing to go on!
My best idea now is 'colibri' (Taino for hummingbird) or Rosalinda (not sure how I came up with that one) input appreciated!!
I'm sure i'll be back with many other questions in the near future so bear with me
- Thank you!
