Going Mule Lookin'

I'm going to go look at this mule sometime next week. Her name is Gracie, and she's a 14.1 hh, 15 year-old mule bred out of a quarter horse mare. She's been used for kid's and beginner's riding/driving lessons, camping, parades, etc.

Oh, but I'm not sure what color she is. I didn't want to ask and look stupid, so, what do ya'll think?

And, as far as her conformation, something looks... off... to me... I don't know what, but I have a feeling... Anyone else notice anything terrible? I know these aren't the best shots...

Sickle hocks? I only see them on this pic though...

I couldn't tell you about conformation since I am not as familiar with mules, but I agree with sillybunny in that she looks smaller then 14.1.

BTW, her color is a sorrel roan - strawberry roan.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

In mules I think they just call it sorrel. Donkeys have a roanish pattern to them, but they just call it sorrel in the donkeys....not 100% sure about the mules tho. Her chest is what I think is throwing you off. She's way too far over her front legs IMHO, and that really throws off the balance when you look at her body.

I'm not sure about the height. She may just beproportioned to where she looks shorter than 14.1.

Ah! I see it now! That explains quite well why she's so funny-looking...

How much do you think that will effect her? She would just be a for for fun driving/trail horse for my little sister and I; no jumping/competition/racing.
