Grumpy mare plus hot coffee

So half-asleep me decided it was a brilliant idea to halter Misty with a cup of hot Dunkin' Doughnuts coffee.

I'd just bought her a new halter, and was trying to adjust it one handed, cue my grumpy mare shoving my hand away with her nose, and the coffee slamming into my face.

Coffee to the eye is surprisingly not that painful.

Ooh, glad you didn't get badly hurt! Mares aren't morning horses either!

It was actually 5pm. I didn't get any sleep last night and I'm surviving today on coffee. She was just being Misty.

Arabian mares. Gotta love them. I'm 98% sure it was payback for teasing her for fitting in a yearling halter.

Now that's just plain not nice. You probably deserved it!

According to her, anyway.

Between that and her diet, I'm pretty sure she's plotting my murder. The coffee was probably the first part of her elaborate "kill the human and make it look like clutzy human died from clutzyness." plan.
