Question Halter ID tags?

I thought that having an ID tag with the stable address and my phone number on it would be a good idea in case my horse got out, but is it worth it? My main concern is the tag getting caught on something and ripping off or irritating my horse.Any thoughts or ideas? I was thinking about getting one of these: Halter / Bridle Tag Pet ID Tag/Tags Pet by themadstampers

I don't leave my horse haltered either.

However there are halters you can buy that you can get a flat plate for, or just to to your local pet shop and get an engraved tag. You could also sharpie your contact info on a hoof.

We had halter tags a long time ago and they do get ripped off, usually when they were hot, sweaty, and rubbing their heads on stuff.

when we have big storms on the way (yay hurricane season) i leave y horses halters on. they both have tags with their name, address and three hone numbers. mine, my moms and my fiances. i also paint the address and phone numbers on their hooves in bright orange nail polish.

we put the thinner metal loops on the tags so if they do get caught, they just snap off if the horse pulls
