Haha me too with Magnum. I like zues ALOT but my friend's horse who just passed away was named Zues. So I will probably not pick that. I really love unique names starting with Z's or X's maybe. I like Gypsum too.
I had a pit/dane mix named Xander. He was named after Xander Cage from the movie "Triple X" because he had a tiny white spot on the back of his neck, like Xander Cage's tattoo in the movie.
Just repeat the name over and over again when you're working with him. Speak it out loud. My boy was named "Charlie" by the BO when I got him and the first thing I did was change his name to Aires. It took the BO a month or so to get it, but now the only person who slips and calls Aires "Charlie" is the BO's nine-year-old son.
It is a super cool name.
It's the start of a new life for him, a new name is only fitting.
Everything is a drastic change though, he is going from his tight-knit herd of 40 horses to a small herd of 5 unfamiliar horses.
I'm hoping he takes everything well and somehow I can keep a little bit of his old identity alive.
But i'm sure he doesn't have a CLUE what his own name is
