Help please :)

Hi, so, how much can you actually learn from reading a horse riding guide manual?
These girls at my riding stables bring books to riding to read before riding and told me they help a lot, I have care manuals, like how put a bridal/saddle/ etc on, how to brush/clean tack/clean hooves/ etc. But riding in general, I always thought it was stupid.
But Im not sure if it will improve it for me or not.
Have you ever found them helpful? Thanks x

Enjoy The Ride

I think it depends on what type of learner you are.

Some people learn very well reading the facts about something and then trying to implement it.

Other people learn better by having something described to them and there are people who learn best being shown things, etc.

I can not see how reading about what you are doing will hurt anything.

Thanks for replying :)
I think Im sort of in between beginner and advanced, if that makes any sense, and those girls read 'The British Horse Society' books (I think thats what they're called) if that helps. x
