Exclamation Hey all you Pennsylvanians out there

I thought I would start a thread for us Pennsylvanians who love horses. Let us know where in Pennsylvania you are from. If you have any horses or pictures you want to share.

I have a quarter horse mare. I've had her since she was 7 she is 17 now. She's a chestnut mare. I want to breed her cause she has a good conformation and personality but I'm afraid of her age. We had a mustang/quarter horse cross named Navada he was all white. He came from Navada which is where is name came from. His mom was a mustang we were told was a wild mustang and his dad was a quarter horse. I miss him like crazy we lost him a year ago to colic. I'm hoping to get pictures of my mare soon.

Well lets hear from you :)

I'm from western PA (Pittsburgh area) and have one mare, Alahna.

I rescued Alahna from an abusive owner and his terrified wife, about 400# underweight. She's still skinny, but she's come SUCH a long way in the 5 months I've owned her!

She turned 7 years old a week after I got her and she came off the track (Thoroughbred) in 2010. She was meant to be a resale project, but there was a reason I wasn't really looking for a mare..lol. She's stolen my heart and will stay until she dies or I find a good owner for her when she's older. She's now meant to be my cow/games/trail/endurance horse :p For an OTTB, she's definitely got a knack for cattle, lol.

Iseul your horse is beautiful. I live in the western pa area too. Pittsburgh is like 45 minutes west from me. Yeah it's odd to see a OTTB have cow sense. But nothing is impossible. Where I work we just got in a OTTB. He raced just this past spring he was so skinny. He's been here a month now and he's already looking better. I work at a big time fox hunting barn. He's being trained to be a hunt horse I can't wait to see what he turns into.

And Turn and burn. Just keep up saving the money and you will get there. I have my mare but I'm also saving my money for a nice equitation horse. Or a nice HUS quarter horse. But until I gotz the money I just dream and hope.

I've been waiting for a PA thread. There are several members from PA on this forum. I can't say I'm quite SE PA, but can't say I'm from central PA either. I'm sort of in between it all!

This is what happens when you have democrats in office
