So my mom has already started nagging on me to get my Xmas lists sent off the my relatives. I am having the hardest time coming up with what to ask for. The only things I really need are horse tack, which is usually too pricey to ask for from them. So I thought, what about books? They normally like to have specific titles to look for, so my question to you is what are some good informative books about riding, horse care or equestrian fitness that I should have on my bookshelf?
Something about interesting excersises to keep riding in the arena from getting dull would be good, along with books on English riding such as eventing or books from the other categories I listed! Anything, really! Just post the title and a quick review/description please!

Also- I would be interested in books on reining as well as books on barrel racing.

What about gift certificates to the local tack store? Then if they couldn't each afford to get you something on your wish list, you could pool all the gift certificates to get what you wanted.

Books:
Absolutely anything by Cherry Hill. You cannot go wrong with her! She has tons of horse & barn care books, exercises, etc. I recently finished "How to Think Like a Horse" that she wrote.

Is there a trainer or top rider or Olympian you admire that has written a book?

What about a subscription to a horse magazine like Horse Illustrated or Horse & Rider?

Thanks guys! Yes, I have gift cards on my list :) I don't think my relatives like giving them to me for Christmas because it's not as personal as an object for example and I tend to lose them or forget about them! Haha
