Horse Books

I've been looking to read some good horse-related books, as in non-fictional books. I have Horses for Dummies, Horseback Riding for Dummies, Storey's Guide to Training Horses, Horsekeeping on Small Acreage, and Everyday Trail Riding. I'm still in the process of reading some of them, but I would love to know what you think when it comes to these sorts of books. What is the best out there?

I just finished Rark Rashid's Nature in Horsemanship: Discovering Harmony through the art of A´kido. I loved it! Otherwise, there's soooo many wonderful books about horses out there, would be hard to name them all. I'm guessing you're starting out (books for Dummies) so you would surely appreciate Joe Camp's The Soul of a Horse, and Pat Parelli's Natural Horse Man Ship.

I'm not exactly starting out... Been riding off and on for about ten years! But still would consider myself a beginner - intermediate. I will check out the books you've suggested. Thanks!

Riders ask "How?" Horsemen ask "Why?"

I'll check them out. What about dressage books? My instructor told me I should read up on dressage.
