Short version: Suggest a medium-large sized town that has a good horse community (mainly English or 50/50 with western) that I should move to?
Long version: Plans may be changing, and I don't think I will be moving to Reno as planned. I still need out of this town, I just want to avoid NV. I am looking at different places, and decent horse community is top on my list of things I am looking for.
I have always wanted to live northwest. Washington, Oregon, Northern CA, etc. Never been to the east, and I don't know anyone there. My boyfriend and I have the same taste in the type of place we want to live. Green, wet, has 4 seasons, etc. A place with a decent population size, as we both hate small towns.
Then again, we don't want to be in a big city with the confusing streets (we have trouble with Salt Lake City and their grid map, if we can't figure that out, we should just avoid living in a place that getting to work and such involves that type of thing xD). If anyone has ever been to Bullhead City, AZ (right next to Laughlin NV), that is about the size/shape of a city I like, though I hate that town.
My main thing is the equestrian community. Both places I have lived, the horse community is 90% racers that see horses as machines. No love, no dedicated care, etc. I want people that like horses, as living near those people is completely depressing.
What towns would you suggest?
