horse hauled fron tn to va

A friend of mine has a colt in training in western tennessee that was supposed to be brought back to va this week but now the hauler has backed out on him. If anyone is trailering from tn to va or knows a reputable hauler that travels this direction let me know. Thanks guys

Check with Equine Express. Very reputable company and I know of two horses hauled much further that arrived hail and hearty and completely unfazed by the trip.

i'm going from Surry va, to russelville KY and back next week. my route is 460 west to I81 south, to knoxville TN west on 40 to Nashville Tn, then north to russleville. returnign the next day, plenty of room in trailer.

If Nashville is your furthest point west, that won't be far enough Nashville is "Middle Tennessee"

Even the border counties between Middle and West Tennessee are a good hour west of Nashville. Someone would have to able to meet you at a safe change over place

OP might want to pass along the Equine Express info since they've been given a good recommendation.

As a follow-up...cost for Equine Express would probably the same as the the quote I received at the beginning of July...$650 for a 1.5 stall; $950 for a box stall. I was getting quotes for a 16.3 warmblood so the 1.5 stall was minimum size; they do have standard single stalls but I didn't get a quote on that. I was running from just west of Nashville (about 20 miles west) to Laurel, MD.

It's not the whole way, but it was a free offer. The rest of the shipping would cost less.

yeh only issue I had was Nashville, way to many loop de loop 5 lane interstate mergers for a country driver with a 25 foot trailer to be getting on and off highway. Woulda been fine meeting north of there 40 minutes at a truckstop or something.
