Horse Locator?

Just out of curiousity, is there any way of tracking a horse I used to own via registration numbers or anything?

Probably not, unless the horse is in top circuit shows or otherwise recognizable via its registered name. For example: My thoroughbred mare was tattooed, and I looked for her forever. I know he registered name, tattoo number, Jockey Club registry number... still haven't found her. :(

I'm so busy, I don't know if I've found a rope... or lost my horse...

All of the breed registries keep track of horses that are registered with them. The problem may come from the fact that the current owner hasn't registered the horse in their name. My current horse is an AQHA registered gelding that I've owned for the past 7 or 8 months but I haven't transfered the papers to my name yet. If you were looking for my horse, the AQHA would direct you to his past owner.

In some instances, a horse can be sold many times without owners registering the horse in their name. That being a possibility, then it can be near impossible to trace the horse until someone files the transfer papers.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.
