Horsey Neologisms

So, I know lots of equestrians are guilty of utilizing the wrong term, or the right term incorrectly when it comes to speaking in horsey jargon. ***raises hand sheepishly***

Anyhow - because of this I have decided to start a thread we can all laugh about! Horsey Neologism. This is not the same as general "horse lingo".

Neologism = a new word, usage or expression. alternately: neologism = a meaningless word coined by a psychotic. Thank you, Merriam-Webster

Here are my lame ones:

Lounging = laying on a cushioned mounting block in the middle of a sunny arena with a horse attached to the end of a long rope nearby while sipping a mojito.

Longing = what people who wish they had a horse do when they see a horse owner lungeing their horse.

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with :) Your turn!

I like the lounging. I'm might try that.
I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but...

Riding -sitting on horse in the arena gossipping with the girls

Sprinklers -filling water trough with hose until it is overflowing & floods entire corral

So in lies the madness, the pursuit of the impossible in the face of the complete assurance that you will fail, and yet still you chase.

Endurance Prospect -- Any horse that cannot be kept at a walk on trail rides.

Community Trail Ride -- A meeting of old friends, horses, and beer.

Racing -- The discipline of choice for unattended young riders.

Apprentice Trainer -- Head trainer's gossip buddy

(Not sure if I'm doing this right, but I'm enjoying it never the less!)
