If you're not seeing any snot running out of her nose or coughing the increased and heavy breathing rate could be down to pain and extreme stress issue associated with having her feet done
It might be a good idea to have your vet give you some sort of pain med that you can give her just before she gets another farrier visit

no runny nose & have not heard her cough ever. I do have bute that I gave her the day of the trim ( right after) a dose yesterday & last dose today. Still waiting on the vet to return my call. :(

More pics as promissed. She has dropped weight really well in the few weeks that she's been with me. After I caught her ( boy, does she hate me right now) I rubed all over her belly feeling for a heaves line. I couldn't find one. Granted, she's still got her winter woolies, but all I could find was fat, round pony belly

she already looks better, even though in the photo she is giving you the "go away/what are you going to do to me now" face :) soon enough she will adore you! She is quite the cutie, I am excited to see where else you go with her!
