I don't live in CA, but I lived and worked in Northern CA, calved heifers in Orland and Cottonwood for a winter. Rode/worked in Turlock, Bakersfield, Modesto/Ceres, south San Francisco, Ione and Malibu/Agoura Hills. And at one time I lived in a town where deserthorsewoman could throw a rock and hit my front porch ;)

I think I would like northern Ca, I am sick of the heat here ! Today we have nothing but dust and wind. The Santa Ana's are Here.. There are some areas down south that I like, but I really really hate the traffic !
I in So Central Valley. I like to see the post from diff areas, even in CA No to So things are done so differently ;)

Lately here in the Bay it has been way to super hot. I couldn't even work my mare last week because of it. Today was the first cooler day we've had in quite awhile. At lease in So Cal you can go to a nice beach. Everything around here is dirty water and FREEZING. But at least board isn't to bad (usually $250-350 a mo).
