I did it i did it i did it i did it !

Is a HUGE deal for me, today I went for a short trail ride on the awesome Mr Gibbs...3 years and 1 month ago I bought him to be my trail horse, but the very next day I had a major accident with another horse. Gibbs bought me back, but this last step of going out on my own, has been three years coming...but we did it. Just a short walk around the yard, down the road, and back across the little hay field.

The walk around the yard and down the road were fine, when we hit the hay field sunshine thought a jog might be an idea, see how pics one and two he has a lovely mane, pic 3 was after the petulant head toss

So yes, for most, it's "so what" to me it's "I DID IT"

When I tried him out I was 90% convinced that I was going to buy him, but it was the sudden realisation that he would be a great horse for the grand kids to ride, last year the babies visiting from the UK had a go

And this week my new 8 year old granddaughter came to meet him, I think it was love at first sight on both parts

here's a laugh for you . .
I open your "I did it, yes , I did it" post, and the first image I see is sort of confusing. what is that, in the left hand side? it looks like an overturned vehicle of some kind . . h m m . . . so, Golden is admitting that she drove that truck like thing over onto it's side????

then I noticed the horse ears, and read the rest.

I was the same way. LOL I thought "What did she do? Take a motor out?" and then I put my glasses on.

Anyway, congrats on your first ride outside, by yourself. Awesome accomplishment.

There will be only one of you for all time. Fearlessly be yourself.

Took me a moment to figure it out as well, haha.
Quite a handsome fellow you have there. That is such a great step to have made.

GF's biggest dream is to have her grandchildren interested in horses.....right now, they're not.....

You're living the dream......

Count your blessings every day.

Congrats! I know that wasn't easy. Good job, and Good JOB Mr. Gibbs for taking care of you.
